Central location in a metropolitan region

Centrally situated in the metropolitan region of FrankfurtRhineMain, Bad Homburg is only a 20-minute drive from Frankfurt Airport. Commuters have direct, transferfree commuter train (S-Bahn) and subway (U-Bahn) connections to Frankfurt available to them. A train trip to the Frankfurt Fair & Exhibition Centre (Messe Frankfurt) takes no more than 17 minutes, while Frankfurt’s main train station is only 21 minutes away.

Future-oriented companies and a diversified blend of industries

Numerous international corporations – including several listed companies – and a balanced blend of SMEs have settled in and around Bad Homburg over the years. Healthcare, business consulting, finance and information and communication technology (ICT) sectors are particularly well represented.

Comprehensive educational offers

Bad Homburg is also a highly regarded centre of education. Not only does it provide working parents with cost-free children’s day-care facilities, it also features a comprehensive bilingual educational spectrum including everything from day-care to A-Level schooling, as well as the private tertiary learning centre “accadis” (offering bachelor’s and master’s programmes in business administration), and the research college of the humanities of the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main.

High quality of life

Bad Homburg is known for its highly diversified cultural and recreational offers, which include, amongst many other attractions, the magnificent landgrave’s castle on the fringe of the city’s old town and the Saalburg Roman Fort, which is part of the “Limes”, the former fortified boundary of the Roman Empire and an official UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bad Homburg is home to countless independent specialty stores, two downtown shopping centres, attractive shopping arcades as well as a superb range of cafes and restaurants.
